Four Paws

I talked to the volunteer coordinator at Four Paws, a animal shelter and thrift store in Coshocton. They were happy to answer some questions about volunteering there.

What qualities do you look for in a youth volunteer?
Volunteers should be honest, trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking. They should get along well with people and animals.

What activities do youth volunteers do now?
Put donated clothes, furniture, etc. in store and price. Clean the store. Walk the dogs, clean cat cages and play with cats.

What would you like to see youth volunteers doing in the future?
Have more volunteers capable of running the cash register and opening/closing the store. Always need more volunteers to help with animals.

How do you apply to become a volunteer?
Get volunteer application at the store. The application is not currently on the website but hopefully will be soon.
