ECOS

"Engineers for Community Service (ECOS) was founded in 2004 by a group of undergraduates in an engineering ethics course at Ohio State.  The organization took on its first international project, Montaña de Luz, in 2005 and went on to win the Spirit of Ohio State Award that very same year.  Since its creation, ECOS has gone on to win several more awards and has expanded to include both local and international projects."
"ECOS promotes life-long professionalism via educational experiences in the uses of engineering skills for local and international community service projects. We value both extra-curricular volunteerism and curricular approaches such as service-learning and recognize some fundamental philosophical tension between these approaches."
ECOS, or Engineers for community service, is a service organization founded by Ohio State University students. They do a variety pf local and international service projects. Check out their website through this link.
